Querétaro Marathon 2026 brings together 19,500 runners despite the rain

The Querétaro Marathon 2026 drew more than 19,500 participants across 5, 10, 21, and 42-kilometer distances, with an operation involving more than 2,500 security and emergency services personnel. The half-marathon distance recorded a record number of registrations for that distance, according to the INDEREQ director.

Chilean Record in Viña del Mar Half Marathon with Carlos Martín Díaz

Chilean athlete Carlos Martín Díaz set a new national record in the 2026 Viña del Mar half marathon with a time of 1:02:11, closely followed by his countrymen Juan Manuel Quijada and Matías Andrés Silva. The race, held on October 4th, brought together more than twelve thousand runners across marathon, half marathon, and 10K distances.

Aydee Loayza breaks circuit record at Viña del Mar Marathon 2026

Peruvian athlete Aydee Loayza won the Viña del Mar Marathon 2026, completing 42 kilometers in 2:30:08 and establishing a new circuit record while improving her own 2024 mark by nearly five minutes. Her compatriot Nicolasa Condori also claimed victory in the 21K, rounding out a historic day for Peruvian distance running in Chile.
