Hooded running blanket
Race mornings tend to be cold, and the wait before the start is long. A hooded blanket becomes part of the kit: it covers you until the gun goes off, and you can leave it at the line for donation or keep it as a memento.
Ours is plush fleece with a sherpa hood, 70.5 × 52 in (179 × 132 cm), covered in runner quotes. It also works for the couch, camping and travel, and it makes a gift people appreciate.
