Why Project Management
of Running?
In project management, no result is achieved by impulse. Every deliverable has a plan, measurable milestones, review cycles, and data-driven adjustments. The best teams don't work harder — they work with more system.
Running is no different. Runners who treat their training like a project — with structure, data, checkpoints, and iterative adjustments — get dramatically better results than those who train by intuition. PMPRunning was built on exactly that idea.
Each athlete receives a plan with defined phases, progression metrics, weekly review points, and adjustment protocols. No generic templates — a personalized project for every runner.
Planning
Defined training phases aimed at a concrete goal
Tracking
HRV, load, sleep, and performance data reviewed every week
Milestones
Measurable checkpoints that mark the athlete's real progress
Iteration
Weekly adjustments based on real response, not assumptions

Henri Forcella
Head Coach — Project Management of Running, LLC
Venezuelan-born and based in El Paso, TX, Henri has been coaching runners remotely since 2019 across the United States and Latin America. His path in running started on Venezuelan tracks and led him to compete as a Masters Athlete in the 45–49 age group on the USATF indoor circuit.
What sets Henri’s approach apart is not just the certification or experience — it’s the conviction that every runner deserves a training system as rigorous as an elite athlete’s, whether their goal is a local 5K or a qualifying marathon. That means real data, adapted plans, and direct communication — no templates, no robots.
Today, PMPRunning remains an intimately human project: limited spots, personalized attention, and a philosophy that puts the athlete — their body, their life, their context — at the center of every training decision.
The 5 Principles
These are not generic tips — they are the pillars that guide every training decision within the PMPRunning system.
Discipline, not motivation
Workouts are executed by system, not by mood. Consistency is the only metric that matters.
80/20 intensity distribution
80% of volume at easy pace, 20% at moderate-to-high intensity. This polarized model maximizes adaptations and minimizes overtraining.
Progress, not perfection
5–10% weekly volume increases with a recovery week every fourth week. Improvement is an iterative process, not an event.
Recovery first
If HRV or sleep are compromised, the day’s intensity is modified. Recovery data is just as important as performance data.
Stewardship
The body is the instrument. Taking care of it — with sleep, nutrition, and active rest — is a spiritual discipline as important as the hardest kilometer.
